Studying and Travelling in China

Judith Shehan Judith Shehan

Miss Judith Shehan will speak on “Studying and Travelling in China.” From 1979 to 1981, Miss Shehan spent fourteen months as a graduate student at Beijing Daxue. Her tour of study was made possible by grants from the National Academy of Sciences (Washington) and the Chinn Ho Foundation (Honolulu). When not studying the language and 18th-century Chinese history, Miss Shehan was able to travel extensively in China “on student rate and in student style.” She is a candidate for the doctorate in history at the University of Hawaii.
