Prof. Rosita P. Chang received her B.A. from Mills College in Oakland, CA, and her M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Before joining the University of Hawaii as Professor of Finance and Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Financial Markets Research Center, she was Professor of Finance and Director of the PACAP Research Center at the University of Rhode Island. Prof. Chang’s research has been published in several prominent business and financial journals. Her current research interests include issues related to Asian capital markets, mutual funds, and market microstructure. Prof. Change has conducted commissioned studies for international institutions such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. She has also undertaken research projects for several Asian stock exchanges. Prof. Chang serves on the editorial board of the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, has been Program Chair for the Annual PACAP Finance Conferences, and is a member of numerous professional societies. Since 1984 Prof. Chang has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is active in training and educating future CFAs. Since 1995 she has served as an independent trustee for Zurich Scudder Investments, Inc.
