From Inner Mongolia

Recently returned from a documentary film project in Inner Mongolia, Bob Jones, whose China specials have won prestigious awards (The Peabody Award for Silk Road) and delighted and informed national and international audiences, will speak on his Mongolian experience and show slides gathered from his trip.

From Ding Ling to Disco: Wow!

Bob Jones' Xinjiang and Xishuangbanna were both triumphs of television journalism. He has just returned from Sheqqi doing work on the third part of his China trilogy. This is the Hawaii-Chinese story in anticipation of the Chinese Bicentennial. He visited Zhongshan on his way from Vietnam, which forms the other essential part of his journalistic fame. This will be “Jones at Noon!”

Filming and reporting in China

To help launch the seventh year of activities, Bob Jones will speak on filming and reporting in China. Winner of the coveted Peabody Award with his “China Beyond the Great Wall” (1983), Bob’s most recent triumph is a special done on southern Yunnan. In Spring of this year, he visited Xixuangbana in time for the Water Festival and other festivities of minority cultures. Once again, only recently, Bob has enthralled his audiences with pictures and words from this enchanting land “south of the clouds.
