Political scientist, White House adviser, former director of the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan, and president of the East-West Center since 1992, Michel Oksenberg will address the China Seminar at its first session of 1995 on his latest research findings. Dr. Oksenberg holds a doctorate from Columbia University, where he taught for eight years before moving to Michigan where he was a faculty member for eighteen years.

Oksenberg who assumed the presidency of the East-West Center in January was a senior staff member of National Security Council in Washington for four years. He holds a doctorate from Columbia University, where he taught for eight years before moving to Michigan where he was a faculty member for eighteen years.
