Why Buddhism?
“Why Buddhism?” will be the topic of a talk by C. T. Shen. An engineering graduate of Chiao Tung University in China, Mr. Shen has had a long and varied career. Having served in various capacities in China from 1937-1949, he came to America in 1952 to be engaged in the shipping business. A former chairman of the board at the American Steamship Company, Mr. Shen is currently president of the Institute for Advanced Studies of World Religions, a trustee and vice-president of the Buddhist Association of the United States.
