China's Implementation of Five Environmental Accords
Political scientist, White House adviser, former director of the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan, and president of the East-West Center since 1992, Michel Oksenberg will address the China Seminar at its first session of 1995 on his latest research findings. Dr. Oksenberg holds a doctorate from Columbia University, where he taught for eight years before moving to Michigan where he was a faculty member for eighteen years. Once a member of the National Security Council in Washington for four years, Dr. Oksenberg is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He played a critical role in the MFN articulations between the U.S. and China in 1994, and keeps an active research agenda while administering and globe-trotting.
